Several years ago, a U.S. citizen friend who was originally from Argentina, told me she had a tough time explaining her career choice of police officer in the U.S. to her family back home. That’s because police in her country are considered corrupt human rights violators as bad as or worse than common street thugs.

That’s about what you get in a lot of third world countries, but that never stopped California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom from signing SB 960 in 2022, dropping a U.S. citizenship requirement to become a police officer, in the name of representation and ‘diversity.’ You could be a proud citizen of the third world and enforce laws the way you enforce laws back home onto the racist and hopelessly flawed Americans. All you needed was a work permit, something readily given to those claiming asylum before their cases are heard.

What could go wrong?

Longtime investigative reporter Dan Noyes, now at ABC7, found what could go wrong:

  1. Gavin Newsome will sit there with a straight face and blame Trump for this and the media will repeat that so all the sheep will believe it….rinse and repeat….

  2. California ceased to be a fact based society many years ago – it’s now all about feelings. Newsom doesn’t give a rat’s ass about illegals or non-citizens (unless they have the temerity to move into his neighborhood), but his core base is progressives and he feels the need to cater to their feelings. Add in increasing corruption, self-dealing and cronyism, and you have a recipe for potential disaster.

California has been spiraling downhill because of the tendency to put feelings over facts. When I moved to California, the prevailing sentiment was that it was difficult for politicians to damage the state because of its natural beauty. Well, at least in this regard that prevailing sentiment has been proven wrong.

  3. The city of Belmont is super rich. And super liberal. It sits between the Silicon Valley and San Fransisco. One of the most expensive zips in the state. Only the big city departments are dumb enough to hire third world cops. You do get what you vote for.
Belmont is also the city that has the hotels most people stay in if they travel to fly out of San Fransisco international. About 15 years ago the family took a vacation to Maui. We stayed the night at the Marriots there. Underground parking, guarded. We got back and the wifes brand new shiny Land Cruiser was gone. Cops asked how long we were in Maui. 10 days. Well it’s probably already in Belize. Futher Muckers!
